New York Public Library for the Performing Arts|New York, NY |September-January 2019

o    Preservation of Audio and Moving Image (PAMI) unit

o    Created Broadcast Wave digital preservation masters of 1980s-era audiocassette recordings from the New Music Seminar collection, working with technicians in the NYPL’s audio conservation studio, and updated inventory records in the NYPL’s FileMaker Pro database

o    Created digital masters of legacy video documenting landmark Judson Dance Theater performances 

o    Performed QC on audio and video XML deliverables upon ingest from vendors

o    Inspected, rehoused, and cataloged 16mm film holdings from the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture in preparation for digitization

 

Brooklyn Museum |Brooklyn, NY|January-May 2019

o   Organized the planning and successful execution of a major initiative to digitize, preserve, and boost access to legacy video from the Museum’s hidden audiovisual collections

o   Facilitated collaborative efforts between the Museum’s archival team and third-party data management professionals

o   Inspected severely damaged actuality- and feature-film 35mm nitrate elements in the John E. Allen collection 

o    Retrieved and staged holdings for use by visiting academic researchers and archival producers

o   Inspected and assessed 145 at-risk audiovisual items on optical and magnetic carriers

o   Researched cost-effective solutions for migrating optical and magnetic media
